Description: Ayres Associates provided Le Sueur County, Minnesota with digital, 4-band orthoimagery services in 2021. The aerial imagery was collected on April 4th and 5th of 2021 using a Microsoft Vexcel UltraCam M3 sensor mounted in a fixed-wing aircraft equipped with Inertial Measurment Unit (IMU) and Airborne GPS. Aerial imagery was collected to support 0.25 foot ground sample distance (GSD) orthoimagery to meet ASPRS Level II horizontal accuracy specifications at 1"=50' map scale. The 3-inch pixel orthoimagery was produced to meet or exceed a horizontal accuracy of 0.7 feet root mean square error (RMSE), which equates to 1.2 feet at 95% confidence level. Resultant orthoimagery was rectified to a DEM created from the latest available LiDAR. Orthoimagery was delivered in PLSS quarter section GeoTiff and ECW tiles, and a project wide ECW mosaic. The total project area covers approximately 492 square miles.
